Grade 9-12 U.S. Admissions Consultancy Programme

U.S. college admissions have never been more competitive. To ensure our students receive the best college education possible, BartyED has developed a unique U.S. Admissions Consultancy Programme to guide young learners through the U.S. admissions process and onwards to their dream college.

Our expert U.S. college admissions consultants work closely with applicants and their families throughout the four years of high school, formulating college shortlists and assisting with the composition of admissions essays, along with any other necessary requirements, to make certain that each college application is of the highest possible quality.

U.S. college applications can be a lengthy and stressful process, but with BartyED’s U.S. Admissions Consultancy Programme you are supported all the way.

Meetings and Preparation

At BartyED, our goal is to support our students holistically throughout their U.S. admissions journey. This begins long before the first application essay is drafted, with significant time invested in shaping and developing each student’s unique profile between Grade 9 through 11. This is achieved through two types of meetings that occur on a monthly basis: Strategy Meetings and Check-ins.

  • Strategy Meetings

60 minute Strategy Meetings will occur every two months, and will focus on having young learners take ownership of their high school experience and the college applications process, developing a clear pathway and profile in advance of the admissions process.

  • Check-in Meetings

Check-ins will occur every other month, and will be 60 minutes in length. The purpose of Check-ins is to establish that immediate academic goals are being met and a well-rounded profile is being developed for college applications.

Standardised Test Preparation

While many U.S. colleges have experimented with test-optional policies, standardised test scores remain a key pillar of successful U.S. college applications.

During the U.S. Admissions Consultancy Programme, our expert admissions consultants will prepare candidates to sit either the SAT or ACT papers. Learners will receive bespoke guidance based on their distinct learning profiles, while also developing essential time management and organisational skills.

School Selection

As part of the U.S. Admissions Consultancy Programme, both child and parents will work with our expert admissions consultant to establish a shortlist of schools, given the profile trajectory and academic progress of each individual learner.

This shortlist will consist of eight schools, with a range of reach, three to four target schools, and safety options to ensure the most comprehensive applications process possible.

Students will also receive guidance on Early Decision/Early Action applications strategies, and appropriate scholarship options during the school selection process.

Application Preparation

Preparation for U.S. college applications will commence in June of Grade 11, at which time students will receive coaching in how to craft a high quality piece of writing that conforms to the expectation of their chosen U.S. colleges.

Students will be directed on how best to structure and compose both long and short form content, to guarantee strong Common App and supplementary essays.

Additionally, each student’s unique voice will be carefully cultivated so that every admissions essay submitted is both personal and stylistically mature.

Finally, before submission, BartyED’s consultants will carefully review each application to make certain no errors are present in the texts.

Interview Preparation

Interview preparation will begin in September of the application year and last through to the

following January.

At this time, students will be coached on appropriate responses to questions, interview performance, and how best to dress for the occasion—all essential to a successful interview and application.

Up to 8 hours of invaluable interview preparation is available under the U.S. Admissions Consultancy Programme.

Counseling & Support

At BartyED, we understand that U.S. college applications can be stressful for the whole family. Consequently, our U.S. Admissions Consultancy Programme offers counselling and support sessions for our young learners.

Our consultants will check in regularly with students to ensure they are feeling confident and motivated, while parents will receive regular feedback on their child’s progress in their college applications as required through attendance at Strategy Meetings.

Pricing

The pricing for BartyED’s U.S. Admissions Consultancy Programme is variable, and is based on the time at which the student enrols, with discounts available for early enrollment. For example, if students enrol after 1 February of Grade 9 or Grade 10 (Year 10 or 11), they will be offered a discounted price based on the pricing for the following academic year’s enrollment.
