Gifted Children Support Program

Are your Children “Gifted”?

Gifted children exhibit what we refer to psychologically as “intellectual giftedness”. It is a blessing and a curse for parents: some gifted learners don’t require support from a tutor, since they present with all-round, above-average intelligence.

However, as is often the case in Hong Kong and elsewhere, we provide a tutor and support programmes for gifted children who exhibit above-average competency in one area, such as language, with average or even mediocre performance in other disciplines, such as Mathematics. The question is, how does BartyED support gifted children?

How our Gifted Children Support Programmes Work

We answer to any number of needs in the community. Often, a qualified gifted children support tutor will be tasked with taking students beyond the classroom curriculum, nurturing their gifted strengths while empathically tackling their problem areas through our acclaimed support and mentoring approach.

Other times, gifted children need someone who will only address their weaknesses, or only build on their strengths. In our years of experience as Hong Kong’s premier educational consultancy company, we’ve seen most of it—for instance…

Gifted Children Support: Borderline ASD

Gifted children often receive a borderline Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis from educational psychologists, whom parents have been referred to due to problems in school. The support role for a BartyED tutor here demands an empathic understanding of the gifted child’s needs, and this makes tutor-student fit key.

We are in a unique position to orbit between the school, the child, and the parents, and we have often come to accords with some of Hong Kong’s top schools to provide gifted children support during school hours.
