Dyslexia stands as the most diagnosed learning difference in the world. Our dyslexia tutors and learning specialists define it as an above-average difficulty with reading. Up to one in five people show symptoms of it; in 3–7% of the population, this difficulty is severe enough to warrant accommodations from school such as extra time in exams.
Many parents will have had their children 'flagged' for dyslexia, and encouraged to seek an educational psychologist's diagnosis and dyslexia tutoring. Initial assessment to identify key areas of support and development
Almost all of our students begin with an assessment. This initial lesson is designed for tutors to cover a range of material that is wider than typically reviewed in a lesson, and gives them a general idea of a student's strengths and weaknesses. Thereafter, a report is sent to the parents detailing the areas which the tutors would like to focus on in the student's individualised support programme.
Helping students to discover the joy in the learning
